Launchpad is a job search tool. Your data powers your own coaching -- we do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

When you use AI features (generating materials, analyzing transcripts, evaluating jobs), your data is sent to one of these providers based on your choice:
Both providers process your data solely to generate responses. Neither provider uses your data to train AI models. Anthropic's API terms and Groq's API terms both prohibit training on customer inputs.
Data sent to AI providers is transmitted over encrypted connections and is not stored by them beyond what is needed to generate a response (typically 30 days for abuse monitoring, per their policies).
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Render, a US-based cloud hosting provider. File uploads (resumes) are stored on the server. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Launchpad uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. That is it. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies.
Our analytics provider, Fathom Analytics, is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies. It does not track you across sites, does not collect personal information, and is GDPR/CCPA/PECR compliant out of the box.

Your data is kept for as long as you have an account. We do not automatically delete old data -- your interview history and story bank are valuable over time, and the system gets better the more data it has.
When you delete specific data (a resume, a pipeline entry, a transcript), it is permanently removed. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.
You have two options:
Both options are self-service and immediate. You do not need to email us or wait for manual processing.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. Period. This applies regardless of whether you are a paying subscriber or on a free trial.
Regardless of where you live, we provide the same rights to all users:
Our legal basis for processing your data is contract performance (we need your data to provide the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (analytics and error tracking to improve the service). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. All of these are available self-service in your account settings.
Launchpad is designed for adults conducting a job search. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
